Brewing Coffee Using An AeroPress

Brewing Coffee Using An AeroPress

The Aeropress is a certified fan favourite here at Inglewood. We love it because it’s a fast, easy to use and a very convenient way to brew a great cup of coffee. The Aeropress is excellent whether you are in a home, office or travel environment.

What you’ll need:

  • 14g freshly ground filter roast coffee (consistency of regular sand)
  • AeroPress
  • AeroPress filter paper
  • Digital scale
  • 200g of 95° water
  • Stirring paddle
  • Drinking mug

See below for our step by step guide for brewing coffee with an Aeropress (serves 1 person)

  1. Rinse the filter paper with boiling water.
  2. Grind 14g of filter roast coffee on a medium setting (consistency of regular sand) and pour it into the Aeropress.
  3. Pour 200g of 95° water onto the coffee bed and stir back to front 3 times.
  4. Place handle on Aeropress and allow to steep for 1 minute
  5. Take handle off and stir back to front 3 times.
  6. Replace handle and use your body weight to gently push the handle down. This should take 20 – 30 seconds.
  7. Enjoy your tasty brew

Tips:

If you’re finding it difficult to push the handle in step 6 this means that your grind setting is too fine. Try making your grind more coarse.
