Ethiopia, Hambela

Ethiopia, Hambela

Chamomile, tangerine, toffee, honey

The Guji, Hambela coffee is produced by 700 smallholder farmers in the Guji district of Benti Neka. The Guji region in southern Ethiopia is highly regarded for it's coffee production, the majority of it being produced by small landholders or wild coffee that is harvested by locals from forests.

Ripe cherries are delivered to the wet mill for careful sorting and pulping before fermenting for 24-36 hours, depending on climatic conditions. The coffee is then washed and graded before being fried on sun raised beds for 10-15 days.

This coffee has a delicate floral flavour profile with lingering honey finish.
