White nectarine, apricot, grapefruit, dates, spices and roasted almond
Finca El Mirador is nestled on a 69-hectare farm in San Vicente Pacaya, Guatemala. Producer Ivonne Herrera has persevered through challenges such as the eruption of the Pacaya volcano and by introducing innovative methods to elevate the coffee's profile year after year the results have not gone unnoticed.
Situated at an elevation of 1500-1800 meters above sea level, Finca El Mirador experiences limited sun exposure due to its location. However, this hurdle has been overcome through a meticulous collection process. Coffee cherries are carefully gathered from all corners of the farm and transported by pickup to the "Los Dolores" processing facility. There, the coffee undergoes a meticulous washed process, where it is depulped, sorted, naturally fermented, and ultimately sun-dried to perfection.
Not only does Finca El Mirador exemplify excellence in coffee production, but it also serves as a source of employment for the community of Los Pozitos, particularly empowering women. Finca El Mirador goes beyond its role as a remarkable coffee producer. It takes pride in supporting the Los Pozitos aldea community by providing free medical assistance. Ivonne Herrera's commitment to her craft, her community, and the environment shines through every sip of this extraordinary coffee, making Finca El Mirador a true embodiment of excellence and social responsibility.
