After years of cultivating high-yield Catimor, the farm shifted in 2021 to the improved Typica variety—chosen for its exceptional quality and higher cupping scores. As Zumba emerges as a centre for specialty coffee, Leo Dan’s commitment to quality, innovation, and advanced post-harvest techniques is helping raise both the standard of coffee and the prospects of the local community.
