Let's break it down

Each machine, explained

Rancilio Silvia E

$1,550 · Single Boiler · Most Popular

The Rancilio Silvia has been a beloved entry point into the world of home espresso for decades — and for good reason. Built like a tank, it uses the same 58mm commercial portafilter as professional machines and produces genuinely excellent espresso when you put in the practice. If you're new to the home barista world and want a machine that will teach you the craft without breaking the bank, the Silvia E is a fantastic place to start.

The trade-off? It's a single boiler, which means you'll need to wait between pulling your shot and steaming your milk. It also doesn't have programmable shots or a shot timer, so dialling in takes a little more patience. But that's all part of the fun.

Rancilio Silvia Pro X

$3,400 · Dual Boiler

The Pro X takes everything that made the original Silvia great and cranks it up to eleven. Dual boilers mean you can brew and steam at the same time — no more waiting, no more temperature juggling. PID temperature control on both boilers gives you the precision to consistently extract the very best from your beans, and the build quality is absolutely outstanding. Shot timers make dialling in even easier, although it's worth noting it does not have the ability to program your shots.

This is the machine for the home barista who means business. If you've been brewing for a while and find yourself frustrated by the limitations of a single-boiler setup, the Pro X is the natural next step. It's an investment, but one that will genuinely transform your morning coffee ritual.

Inglewood tip: The Pro X really shines with our single-origin offerings — the precise temperature control and pre-infusion settings let the unique characteristics of each origin come through beautifully in the cup. Browse single origins →

Nuova Simonelli Oscar II

$1,900 · Heat Exchanger · Factory Second

The Oscar II has a bit of a cult following among home baristas who like to entertain — and once you've used one, you'll understand why. As a heat exchanger machine, it's ready to brew and steam simultaneously right out of the box, and the build quality is exceptional. It also has a generous 2.5L water tank and a commercial-grade portafilter, making it a workhorse for busy households.

It does have a bit of a learning curve — heat exchanger machines require a little more technique to get the brew temperature just right — but once you've got it dialled in, the results are consistently excellent.

DeLonghi La Specialista Opera

$825 · Thermoblock · All-in-One · Factory Second

The La Specialista Opera is DeLonghi's flagship home espresso machine, and it's genuinely impressive. It has everything built in — grinder, tamper, milk frother, and PID temperature control — making it an outstanding all-in-one option for coffee lovers who want brilliant results without the need for a separate grinder or a steep learning curve.

This particular model is a factory second, which means it may have minor cosmetic imperfections but has been fully tested and performs exactly as it should. It's a fantastic way to get your hands on a premium machine at a reduced price. The 51mm portafilter is smaller than commercial-size, but for everyday home use, it's absolutely no barrier to a delicious cup.

Inglewood tip: Factory seconds are quality-checked and fully functional — you're getting the same great machine at a better price. Just snap one up quickly, as stock is limited!
